My Website

Hello and welcome to Third Grade!  My name is Sarah Kallsen and I am so excited to teach 3rd grade again this year!!  I spent 12 years working in the Special Education Department in Douglas County, before finishing my elementary education degree.  I joined MHE in 2009.  I have taught 3rd and 4th grade.

Mammoth Heights has a wonderful, supportive, and experienced staff, and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this family.   I am extremely passionate and committed to students achieving their best and creating a warm and safe classroom community.

My husband Andy and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary this past January and our son Daniel is a senior at Metro State University, majoring in graphic design.  We are huge Bronco fans and attend all home games to cheer our team on!  I am an avid reader and I also enjoy being creative with drawing, painting, and making jewelry.  I look forward to a positive and successful school year!

Hi! My name is Patrice Sterling. In May of 2016 I earned my bachelors degree in English with an emphasis in Elementary Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. The moment I walked into Mammoth Heights I knew it was where I belonged. I knew it was the place I would call my home away from home.
I enjoy cooking and baking often tweaking recipes to put my own spin on them. I also enjoy spending time with my family.I am the fourth of five girls-my poor dad- my younger sister love sharing  sidesplitting laughter until we cry. Family is very important to me and it will show in my classroom. It has always been my passion to become a teacher and it shows as I get to know each of my students and their families and make connections any way I can. My classroom is a safe place to take risks and make mistakes because that’s how we learn best.

Please join me as we embark on such an amazing adventure!

Hello! Welcome to Third Grade. My name is Jenna Passey and I am excited to be a part of the MHE Community.

My Bachelor's Degree is from Arizona State University with a major in Justice Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. My Master's in Elementary Education is from Northern Arizona University. I am a true Sun Devil at heart. In Gilbert, Arizona I taught first and second grade at Finley Farms Elementary.

I moved to Colorado from Arizona. I love to stay active and be outdoors as does my spunky Boston Terrier, Lola. We enjoy all sorts of amazing adventures in this beautiful state of Colorado. This year we will have fun exploring and learning new material while also experiencing personal development and interpersonal growth. I am looking forward to getting to know you. I wish everyone a wonderful year! Dream! Strive! Become!

Hello parents and students! My name is Trevor Jones and I am so excited to be part of the MHE family.  My Bachelors Degree in Human Development is from Metropolitan State University of Denver, with a Minor in Elementary Education.  I love engaging my students in lessons and activities where we can learn, laugh and have a good time.  One of my favorite things to do is implement technology within the classroom in order to enhance the learning of the students.  Nothing makes me more proud than seeing my students conquer challenging concepts within our classroom!
I have a wonderful wife named Shelby that is a Human Resource Specialist, and we have a Chihuahua named Flynn (our little ‘fur baby’ as we like to call him) named after the famous Flynn Rider from Tangled.  When I am not in the classroom helping shape young minds I love to spend time outdoors with friends and family.  While I may be from San Diego (Go Chargers!!) I still love to call Colorado my home.  I can't wait to have a positive and successful school year!
